With a lavish royal wedding and the (now defunct) Kim Kardashian nuptials, we’ve seen a staggering amount of high-profile engagements in the past year. And, more times than not, celebrity proposals are accompanied by blindingly luxurious engagement rings.
It’s been tough to narrow this list down to only a handful, but Team Pawngo was up to the challenge! Without further ado, we present our selections for the top five celebrity engagement rings since the end of 2010.
Kim Kardashian
Even though her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries only lasted 72 days, Kardashian still gets to keep this 20.5 carat, viewable-from-space engagement ring.
The Emerald cut, 16 carat white diamond is accompanied by a pair of 2 carat side stones. Put it all together, and Humphries allegedly forked over a cool $2 million for the whole package, or roughly $27,777 per day of marital bliss.

Hudson loves rockers, and after previously being married to The Black Crowes front man Chris Robinson, she’s now engaged to Muse singer Matthew Bellamy.
This is another jaw-dropping Emerald cut, weighing in at 9 carats, featuring tapered baguettes on the side. This glam rocker rock is worth an estimated $200,000.
Vanessa Minnillo
Minnillo may be getting Jessica Simpson’s leftovers by marrying Nick Lachey, but her engagement ring is nothing to sneeze at.
It’s a very trendy and hip Asscher cut diamond with side trapezoids, all from designer Bader & Garrin. The center stone is approximately 4 carats, and the total value has been estimated in the neighborhood of $125,000.
Natalie Portman
Portman keeps a strict vegan diet and has been known to promote environmental causes, so it’s no surprise that her brilliant round engagement ring also happens to be eco-friendly.
This ring is just as flashy as those worn by other Hollywood starlets, but also features recycled platinum and diamonds taken from a conflict-free mine. The price tag on this lovely diamond lady? $35,000.
Kate Middleton
This list wouldn’t be complete without the new Duchess of Cambridge, who recently sealed the royal marriage deal with a gorgeous oval blue, 18 carat sapphire and diamond ring.
The clustered bauble originally belonged to William’s mother, Princess Diana, upon her engagement to Prince Charles.
